Robin had been introduced to music at a young age.   He learned from his father who had been a musician when he was younger and expanded his music repertoire by stealing from his brothers’ tape collection.  Robin has been playing drums for over 15 years now.  His experience playing began in the 5th grade and continued on in to the school band at George H. Moody Middle School.  He was inspired to take up the drums after going to see his friend’s older brother play in the middle school jazz band.  When he watched the drummer in this band, he was impressed, and he knew this was the instrument for him.

Robin studied under Jody Boyd for 2 ½ years at Southern Music and then continued his studies for a short time with  Chris Williams at Don Warner Music.  While attending as a freshman at John Randolph Tucker High School in 1994, he joined his first band. He played in this alternative rock band for a few years and then variety of different projects following that until meeting up with Beau and Hart 1997.  In 2005, Robin also began to play various Richmond venues with a second group called Oscillator.

Over the years Robin’s talent has grown from influences like John Bonham, Tim Alexander, Chad Sexton, and Jon Fishman.  During performances you can here the subtle subconscious homage Robin gives to bands Pink Floyd, Primus, AC/DC and 311.  When the band delves into improvisational jams you can feel the styles of  Moe, Phish and the Grateful Dead.  Robin is truly the heart beat of the band.  His percussive style induces trance like jams followed by tension and release epic rockers.   After playing and jamming in a few projects for a couple years he could finally dedicate himself the the band he enjoyed the most, 11th House.  Robin eventually received a degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Computer Science at the School of Engineering.   He uses those skills to help support his true passion of music.
